Ad Lib Restaurant is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Bangkok’s concrete jungle that allows dinners and drinkers alike to feel a world away from the outer reality. Soothing blends of woods, marble and natural greenery surround even those enjoying the indoors, as floor to ceiling glass encases the cooler interior with an outdoor-in feel.
For the alfresco dinners, the outer lounge, bar and dining space is hugged by towering grand green walls of ‘ploo dang’ plant tendrils that cascade down to create the ultimate feeling of city escapism.
At the helm of the kitchen is Executive Chef Vishanu Prempak or Chef Bank as he is better known. Chef Banks initial passion for food evolved through his Thai/Malay heritage and today is influenced by over a decade working in both 5 star hotels and prominent restaurants. With these combined influences you will find Chef Bank along with Sous Chef Ya and their team plating anything from good old Avo on Toast, to Mediterranean slow cooked octopus, a Chinatown Breakfast and of course a mouthwatering bowl of ‘Granny’s’ Malay noodles.… but don’t fear, he hasn’t forgotten his roots with many an authentic Thai dish hotly requested and enjoyed by both guests and locals alike.
Ad Lib Restaurant and Bar is open 24 Hours with a reduced food menu available from 11pm to 7am.
With bars indoors and out, we simply can’t limit it to just 1 happy hour, therefore we have HAPPY HOURS!
From 5pm to 7pm enjoy 2 for 1 Ad Lib Cocktails, Selected Wines by the Glass, Local Beers and Non-alcoholic drinks.
